For all local authorities, maintaining the quality of the road network is an ongoing challenge but Mayo County Council are again showing their commitment to improving the quality of their road network. In 2013 Mayo County Councils roads team invested in their first Archway Products Roadmaster® Spray Injection Patching unit, and today are accepting delivery of their third custom made machine. The third order was placed because of the success of the current machines; the amount and quality of repairs that the Roadmaster® can achieve on Mayo’s rural roads.
The Roadmaster’s technologically advanced Spray Injection Patching unit allows a single operator to undertake repair and preventative maintenance on several km’s of roads within a single day. It minimises the duration of the length of works time and disruption for other road users, and all of this can be done by one operator working in the safety and comfort of a climate-controlled cab. The quality of a Roadmaster® repairs can be relied upon as its material calibration is computer controlled, meaning consistent repairs lasting the test of time.
Making delivery of the new machine, Archway Products Irish Business Manager, Mike Freeney stated “Our relationship with Mayo County Council is built on experience. From the success of their Roadmaster® machine fleet the Council team have a great understanding of what the Roadmaster® can achieve. With the investment of the third machine to the fleet Archway Products Ltd are delighted to assist in the maintenance of a high standard of road quality for all road users in Mayo.”
